You have the choice when calling up our website and at any time later whether you generally allow the setting of cookies or which individual additional functions you select. Changes can be made in your browser settings or via our Consent Manager. Below we first describe cookies from a technical perspective (2) before we go into your individual selection options in more detail by describing technically necessary cookies (3) and cookies that you can optionally select or deselect (4).
(2) Cookies are text files or information in a database that are stored on your hard drive and assigned to the browser you are using, allowing the party that sets the cookie to receive certain information. Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer but are primarily used to make the Internet offer faster and more user-friendly. This website uses the following types of cookies, the functioning and legal basis of which we will explain below: a) Transient cookies: These, in particular, session cookies, are automatically deleted when you close the browser or log out. They contain a so-called session ID. This allows various requests from your browser to be assigned to the common session, and your computer can be recognized when you return to our website. b) Persistent cookies: These are automatically deleted after a specified duration, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can view the set cookies and the durations at any time in your browser settings and manually delete the cookies.
(3) Mandatory technically necessary functions for displaying the website: The technical structure of the website requires us to use techniques, in particular cookies. Without these techniques, our website cannot be displayed (completely correctly) or support functions could not be enabled. These are generally transient cookies that are deleted at the latest when you end your website visit by closing your browser. You cannot deselect these cookies if you want to use our website. The individual cookies are visible in the Consent Manager. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
(4) Optional cookies upon your consent: We only set various cookies after your consent, which you can select during your first visit to our website via the so-called Cookie Consent Tool. The functions are only activated in case of your consent and can serve, among other things, to analyze and improve the visits to our website, to make it easier for you to use it across different browsers or devices, to recognize you on a visit, to place advertising or to show advertising based on interests, to measure the effectiveness of ads, or to show interest-based advertising. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. Your consent can be revoked at any time without affecting the legality of the processing until the revocation.
(5) The functions we use, which you can individually select and revoke via the Consent Manager, are described below.
Section 7 Use of Google Analytics
(1) This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. („Google“). Google Analytics uses so-called „cookies“, text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In the event of the activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to website usage and internet usage to the website operator.
(2) The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
(3) You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent Google’s collection and use of data (cookies and IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
(4) This website uses Google Analytics with the extension „_anonymizeIp()“ which means that IP addresses are processed in a truncated form, therefore excluding direct personal reference. As far as the data collected about you contains a personal reference, this is immediately excluded and the personal data is immediately deleted.
(5) We use Google Analytics to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. Through the statistics we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR.
